7th UNESCO Youth Forum
Held from 17 to 20 October 2011 in the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, the 7th UNESCO Youth Forum brings together youth delegates, civil society participants, UN entities, intergovernmental organizations, academics and the private sector. The theme for this year’s Youth Forum is “How Youth Drive Change”. The Forum aims to examine how youth contribute to building a culture of peace, supporting good governance and promoting economic opportunity. Participants will discuss, debate, and exchange ideas on the Forum’s themes and have the opportunity to present their recommendations to the representatives of Member States during the 36th UNESCO General Conference.
2 Singaporean students—Ms Siti Hazirah Binte Mohamad from National University of Singapore (NUS) and Mr Chia Ding Li Stanley from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are Singapore’s representatives at the 7th UNESCO Youth Forum.

36th UNESCO General Conference (GC)
The GC consists of the representatives of the States Members of the Organization. It meets every two years at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and is attended by Member States and Associate Members, together with observers for non-Member States, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The GC this year is held from 25 October to 10 November 2011 in the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
The General Conference determines the policies and the main lines of work of the Organization. Its duty is to set the programmes and the budget of UNESCO. It also elects the Members of the Executive Board and appoints, every four years, the Director-General.

3rd International Conference on Teaching and Learning with Technology, iCTLT 2012 (Open for registration)
The International Conference on Teaching and Learning with Technology, iCTLT 2012, is a premier conference where delegates can get up-to-date on the developments of educational technology in terms of research, pedagogy and technological solutions. Delegates can also look forward to many opportunities to connect and collaborate with educators from individual countries and regions on matters of common interest in the use of ICT to create an engaging and effective education for students.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®), U.S., and Academy of Principals (Singapore) the conference theme, ‘Do IT! Transform Learning, Shape the Future.’, highlights best practices, research and thought-provoking speakers from both the Asia-Pacific Region and from around the world.
